Pendraig Anatolian Shepherd Dogs is dedicated to preserving the working heritage and health of this amazing breed through carefully planned breeding, importing rare foundation lines, health screening and natural rearing. We are breeding for the ultimate in health, longevity and excellent temperment bound up with the beauty and grace of this rare livestock guardian dog breed.
Dawn Campbell first fell in love with the breed when looking through a dog breed book in 1995. After graduating high school she got her first Anatolian Shepherd Dog in 1997 and it has been a love affair ever sense. She wanted to breed Anatolians since then but until now has not been able set up her program as she had long desired. The future is now, and great things are planned for Pendraig Anatolian Shepherds including the planned debut litter in 2010.
Her husband, Douglas Campbell fell in love with the breed after his wife introduced him and he has become an avid supporter of helping to expand the gene pool, importing dogs from Turkey and he is already planning the future trips to bring in new bloodlines.
They share their love of dogs with their son, turned three years old on August 31, 2010. They hope to raise him with the love and respect of the breed so that he will hopefully carry on their work in the future.
Pendraig Anatolian Shepherds raises their dogs following a Natural Rearing model to insure the ultimate in health and wellness.
